Hi Andrew,

Good to hear from you.

Suggestion: I appreciate receiving your newsletter and its useful information. I do find it to be dense - it's all good info, just too much to absorb and put to use. What I would find more useful is a brief synopsis of information or an activity that can be attempted. It could be one step in a process that might take place over several days (or weeks or months) with the newsletter taking me through additional steps over time, rather than giving me a whole picture all at one time. Or, if you wanted to present the whole picture at once, provide a summary at the start to let me know what I am getting into.

I'm happy to discuss further if I have not made my ideas clear.

Best regards and happy new year,

Marti

Hi Marti - thank you so much for your helpful feedback. I've heard similar responses from others. Here is the mystery to me -- what is the key actionable element in each newsletter that I should highlight? Let's use you as a test case -- if you think of one of the newsletter issues that you read and enjoyed, what stuck with you in particular? What would you say was its true essence?

Thank you so much for thinking about this with me!

I am in the process of moving and working so I can't take time right now. I'm sorry. In general, I recommend bullet points and action items. I don't think people need to know all the theory to make change. In fact, sometimes the less theory the better. People have done plenty of thinking about social problems. People need to just move even if it is just one step forward.
